As a journalism major at San Jose State and a staff writer at The Spartan Daily, I find the pay wall on your website discouraging. The last thing busy students want to do is sign up for another subscription service. You should find a way to financially support your online publication through advertising alone, because your current system discourages the public from reading the news. As one of the most important newspapers in the Bay Area, you should be drawing in new readers and encouraging them to stay informed, not driving them away with an unreasonable three-article-a-month limit.
